What we bring

A model for a design review has a different job from a model in a property sales room. We start with the people who will use it and the decision it needs to support. That defines the scale, the level of detail and where the work should go.

BDWY develops architectural scale models for architects, developers and presentation teams. The brief can focus on building form, a site and its surroundings, an interior or a selected detail. We agree what must be accurate, what can be simplified and which parts need to remain accessible before fabrication begins.

Drawings do not become a useful model simply by shrinking them. Small features may need adjustment, some details may disappear, and the base can become larger than expected. We review the model footprint and the viewing conditions together. A clear massing model can be the right answer when colour, planting and lighting would distract from the decision.

Who this is for

What you receive

An agreed model brief, defined approval points and the physical model within the selected scope. Photography, film and presentation content can be scoped separately.

Plan the destination as well as the model

Tell us where the model will be shown, how people will approach it and whether it will travel again. A display cover, removable parts, lighting, packing, access to the venue and installation needs all affect the brief. We confirm what is included and who handles each step. Founded in Istanbul, BDWY works with clients globally; the destination and delivery scope need review for each project.

What to send

Share the intended use, current drawings or a file link, the site extent, a preferred scale or maximum base size if known, the destination, deadline and budget range. Early drawings are welcome. Mark uncertain or changing areas so the quote does not assume that the design is final.

Briefing across borders

Planning a model for a team or venue in Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE or Qatar? Include the destination city, access limits and required arrival date, not only the exhibition opening. Name the person who will approve the work and their time zone. Before confirming the scope, we agree who handles packing, transport, receipt and any installation. These details help define a realistic project plan; they are not a delivery guarantee.
